You can't expect much from a tool only available for one operating system (iOS). Here are some of the main differences between Premiere Rush vs iMovie so you can choose which video editing software is best for you. However, as with most things, when there’s a choice, some people end up choosing the wrong one. Apple’s iMovie and Adobe’s Premiere Rush both offer pretty powerful editing features. There’s a lot of competition when it comes to video editing software. Whether on the go or sitting in front of your laptop, you can capture, edit, and share high-quality videos. They're the most powerful tools in the filmmaker's toolkit, used to edit almost every movie made today.Īdobe Premiere Rush is a free video editing app for creativity on the go. With the iMovie elements, you can cut an d edit music, videos and graphics without changing any original files. IMovie is an easy-to-use nonlinear editor that makes it fast and easy to make your movies. ![]() The comparison we've made is solely our point of view and what we do is for educational purposes only. This article is a guide to tell you which one to choose depending on your choice. In this guide, we're going to compare and contrast the two apps and tell you why the one you choose will depend on the type of content you're creating and whether or not you're planning to share it online. But the reality is that they're so different that it would be hard to recommend either one over the other. It seems like both apps are designed to help people create videos. They're "fixed".A lot of people have questions about the Premiere Rush vs iMovie comparison. I want to take the (x,y) values at each frame and subtract them from the initial position so that those two points stay in exactly the same spot (as in After Effects). I don't want to smooth the motion, I want to fix the position based on the tracker measurements. The only option is "parameters to smooth". But then when I switch "Operation Mode" to "Stabilize" I don't see an option for "no motion". ![]() The track seems to work fine - I get a bunch of green dots all over the place within the area I specified. So clearly it's looking for an area, not two points.Īnd after I do the track I can't figure out how to specify "no motion". I have the tracker set to "point" but if I specify only two points then when I try to create the track it says "invalid polygon". ![]() The problem is that I can't figure out how to specify points, only an area. Thanks for the replies, but I am using the planar tracker in Fusion. Same effect, different name.Īll in all, I had to not get mad at Resolve and just tell myself that it could probably do whatever technique I'd learned in other programs, I just had to look a little. I didn't know all the buttons at first, but it helped me wrap my head around WHERE to start looking for the comparable features since each program calls it a different name.įor example, you would think that "Content Aware Fill" in AE is totally unique to Adobe, but Color Page calls it "Object Removal" and it came out around the same time. Color Page can probably be split between AE + Premiere (which can both use Lumetri and both do masks, tracking, etc.). I am (was) an After Effects Guy myself, and although settings in the Edit Page can do most of the hard work, if you're doing any advanced compositing/After Effects type technique, it will definitely be done in the Fusion Page.įusion is the apples-to-apple comparison to AE Edit Page is that to Premiere Fairlight is that to Audition Cut is that to Rush (sorta) Deliver Page is that to Media Encoder and the Media Page is that to Prelude (sorta). Don't really have anything helpful to add, LOL, but just some comments since I struggled trying to find the equivalent commands when I first switched over as well. ![]()
